KIDNAPPED NIGERIAN PROFESSOR FOUND DEAD

The Chairman of the University Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dipo Akomolafe, confirmed Okedayo’s death, explaining his remain was found in a decomposed condition in bush

Penpushing further reports that, the union leader lamented that the university community had been thrown into disarray and were saddened by the development, adding, “his decomposing body was found in the bush. This is so sad to ASUU and his family members because the abductors never called anybody, whether ASUU or Okedayo’s family for ransom,”.

The Edo State Police Command, Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, could not be reach as at the time of filing this report, while the police had earlier announced that it had recovered Okedayo’s  Toyota Corolla car

Meanwhile, it is recalled that, the university don was kidnapped by gunmen at Akoko Junction on the Igara-Auchi road, alongside his driver on their way to Edo State, while the  identity of the assailants have not been made public.
