Gunmen attack Apostle Suleman’s convoy, kill six persons
The convoy of a popular Nigerian cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman,was on Friday attacked by gunmen killing six people, including three police officers, while the controversial clergyman narrowly escaped death
Penpushing reports that the attack was said to have occurred around the Auchi area of Edo State, while Suleman was said to be heading to an unidentified location, hours after returning from a trip to Tanzania.
The Edo State Police Command Public Relations Officer,Chuidi Nwabuzor confirmed the sad incident , adding that six persons which include the cleric”s driver and police orderlies attached to him were shot dead, adding that one of the attackers also lost his life
Penpushing further reports that the police spokesperson said the police were searching for Suleman’s domestic worker, who is apparently missing after the attack, while in his own account, Samuel Amune,who is lawyer to the cleric said he(Suleiman) escaped death by a whisker.
