Burglary: Joint National Associacion of Persons with Disabilities calls on police, for through investigation on arrest of two deaf persons 

The Joint National Associacion of Persons with Disabititions Ogun State Chapter has condemned alleged burgary by two deaf persons in Olokemeji community located at extension of Government Reservation Area(GRA), Ibara in Obafemi-Owode local government area.
Penpushing further reports that it is recalled that the apprehended suspects who were caught in the illegal act at a private residence of the victim,were later handed over to the police for further investigation
The Chairman of the body, Dr Ebonhor Michael Ndidi, and Olufemi Adeosun(General Secretary), however, in a statement said it would not condone any act of burglary and therefore called on police authorities  and other law enforcement agencies to conduct proper investigation on this allegation of burglary act to a logical conclusion adding that it will provide intepreter to assist police in investaging the alleged criminal.
“Joint National Associacion of Persons with Disabititions Ogun State Chapter write to condemn in strong term the alleged burglary of residential building by deaf persons reported by Penpushing media on 30th July 2024 which occurred in Olokemeji extension of Government Reservation Area (GRA) Ibara Locared in Obafemi Owode local government area, Ogun State”, the statement added
“We wish to State categorically that Joint National Association of Persons with disabilities, Ogun State chapter will not condone any act of burglary or criminal activities from a person or group  contrary to the law of the land.  Hence in the pursuit for justice we therefore request that the Nigerian police and other law enforcement agencies to conduct proper investigation on this allegation of burglary act to a logical conclusion with the assistance of sign language interpreter’ , he added.
 “We also us this opportunity to appeal to the general public not to use this isolated case of alleged burglary act by deaf persons to stigmatise on all other innocent persons with disabilities who are law abiding in the law’, the statement added
