Jigawa state government announces October 25 as schools reopening day

The Jigawa State Government has announced October 25, 2020 for opening schools in the state, and this followed submission of committee set up under the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology on coronavirus pandemic.

Penpushing reports that, Allhaji Muhammad Muhammad, Commissioner made the announcement in a statement made available to journalists after the committee report was handed over to Governor Muhammad Badaru

The statement said the committee in due course will published the time table and mode of study before the opening day, adding that government will fumigate and equipped all the schools with necessary equipment for preventive measures.

Penpushing further reports that, the statement maintained that all schools clinics will be rehabilitated as well as providing hospitals emergency numbers available to schools,stressing that school health team will be establish, distribution of mosquito nets to boarding school students and ensure strict compliance of coronavirus  protocols.

Meanwhile on Monday October, 12, 2020 has been fixed for another meeting with higher institution management to ensure the successful opening of the tertiary institution in the state.
