JADESOLA AJIBOLA BECOMES CHAIRPERSON OYO WOMEN JOURNALISTS ASSOCIATION
The Chairperson of the Women Penpushers in her speech assured members that the new officials are out to render selfless service and ensure that the female folks in the pen profession stand out among women in Nigeria.
Penpushing further reports that, Ajibola noted that women and children issues will be on the front burner as the association will be determined to be a voice for the voiceless in Nigeria, and also called on well meaning Nigerians to support women and promote gender equality as well as discourage violence against persons in the society.
The new female journalists’ leader also advised parents to rise to their responsibilities, ensure they cater for every child and support the implementation of the child right law, which provides protection for every Nigerian child.
Penpushing also reports that, some past leaders of the association in attendance include; Bisi Yomi-Layinka, Bose Oyewole, Adekitan Adeagbo and Foluso Lala. They all urged the new leadership of the association to work hard and promote professionalism in every way.
In his short remark, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Oyo State Council, Adewunmi Faniran called for disciplined and love among members, while in similar vein, the Vice President of B Zone, of the association Morenike Tony-Esan who swore the new executives in charged them to be selfless and show love among members.
