Ize-Iyami wins all progressives congress primary in edo state

The choice aspirant of embattled National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has emerged as the Governorship candidate of the party in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State.

Penpushing reports that, Ize-Iyamu at the party primary held on Monday defeated two other aspirants – Pius Odubu and Osaze Obazee, in the direct primary reportedly conducted in the 18 local governments of Edo State.

The result announced by the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, disclosed that Ize-Iyamu scored 27,833 votes while Odubu, the former Deputy Governor of the state, came second with 3,776, while Obazee recorded over 2,000 votes.
