Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration elects new executive in Ogun state
The Ogun State Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSAN) has elected new executive members led by Mrs Oriyomi Sofowora who is currently the Chief Registrar of the Ogun State Customary Court of Appeal.
Penpushing reports that the election was held on April 8, 2023 at the Institute Annual General Meeting (AGM) attended by the National President Mr. Gbenga Owokalade and the Institute’s Registrar Mrs. Taiwo Olusesi among others.
The statement issued by the institute after the election said other elected officers include. Taiwo Raji (Vice Chairman), Mrs. Yemisi Daramola(Secretary), Mrs. Gloria Dada(Treasurer) and Aishat Okuribido (Publicity Secretary)
Penpushing further reports that the new chairman profile has it that at various times was an Acting Chief Registrar of the Ogun State High Court, a coordinating Director of the Ogun State Multidoor Court House.
The institute boss had before this period presided over the state’s family Court and mobile Court which took her to every nook and cranny of Ogun State, had served in various capacities in the Magistrates ‘ Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Branch and later became the Chairman of the Association in year 2012 till year 2017.
Penpushing also reports that Sofowora before joining the Ogun State Judiciary in year 2005 as a Senior Magistrate Grade 1, was a Company Secretary and Legal Adviser to Thomas Whyatt Nigeria Plc (Apex Mill) and the famous Eko Corp Plc (Eko Hospital),as well as Fellow of the Institute, and became the pioneer Vice-Chairman of the Institute Ogun Chapter in 2020.
The Vice Chairman Mr. Taiwo Raji joined the Institute as an Associate in 2021, and he is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSAN) and CITN with over 22 years of experience..
Penpushing reports that the profile of Mrs. Yemisi Daramola scribe of the institute has it that she is a University Administrator, an in-house Counsel, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser with sixteen years’ experience at the bar, and joined the Institute as an Associate in 2022.
The Treasurer, Mrs. Gloria Dada is a Banker with 13 years’ experience; she became an Associate of the Institute in 2020, and served as the pioneer Secretary of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSAN) Ogun State Chapter.
Penpushing further reports that Publicity Secretary of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSAN), Aishat Okuribido is a legal practitioner with about six years’ experience at the Bar, she joined the Institute as an Associate in 2021.
The President of the Institute, Mr. Gbenga Owokalade and the Registrar Mrs. Taiwo Olusesi congratulated the new executives and charged them to continue with the works as commenced by the outgoing executives.
