I will professionally support Governor Abiodun to improve information officers’ productivity, says Akinmade
The Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Media, Hon. Kayode Akinmade has assured the Ministry of Information that he will do his best to improve the welfare of Information Officers, in order to enhance their productivity.
Penpushing reports that Akinmade gave the assurance while addressing Information Officers at the weekly statutory meeting held at the Press Centre, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, stressing that he would ensure that the Ministry is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that would spur them to deliver more on their duties as core professionals
The veteran journalist, commended the information officers in the Ministry for projecting the achievements of Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration, adding that public enlightenment programmes in the Ministry would now be aired on other media stations and platforms and not limited to state-owned media organisations
Penpushing further reports that the Special Adviser noted some of the public enlightenment programmes as include ‘Ogun Dey Kampe’, ‘Ijoba Tiwa n Tiwa’, ‘Giant Strides’ and Ogun State Review, emphasisng that he would operate an open-door policy.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Waheed Adesina in his remarks assured Akinmade of the continued support and readiness of the ministry to collaborate with him and the media team, to adequately publicise the programmes and projects of the government.
Penpushing also reports that Rotimi Oduniyi, responding on behalf of the Information Officers appreciated Akinmade for reckoning and synergizing with the officers towards taking information management to a higher pedestal.
