I will continue to remind Tinubu of pledge to run government of national competence, says Osoba
A former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba has disclosed that President Bola Asiwaju pledged to run a government of national competence, and he (Osoba) will continue to remind him of the pledge.
Penpushing reports that Osoba made the disclosure to journalists, adding that Tinubu made the pledge when he had a private discussions with him before his inauguration as the President, emphasizing that he assured putting in place competent officials for a meaningful administration
“In our private discussions, he told us that he is going to make use of competence, and he made a statement which I keep reminding him. He said, I am going to run a government of national competence’, Osoba quoted Tinubu.
Penpushing reports that the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) commended steps so far taken by the President, with emphasis on the first week of his administration, describing the steps as monumental
‘He emphasized on competence and you can see the way he has started this in his first week in office. Looking at the major steps of decisions he has taken to actions, monumental. Especially looking at the issue of the service chiefs. Insecurity in this country is our major problem’, Osoba stated.
‘And the president first speech he made was that I’ll not tolerate inter services rivalry and that they must learn to cooperate and share information, they must all run as a team .And see the way he has balanced his parliament’, Osoba stated
‘Inspector General of Police from Southwest; National Security Adviser, Northeast; Head of Navy, Southeast; Chief of Defence Staff, Northwest. He has balanced the whole thing around the country, stopping nepotism. This is a great decision we must praise him”, he added.
