I HAVE CEASED TO BE ALAO- AKALA’S POLITICAL GODSON, SAYS OYO SPEAKER

It is recalled that, the former Governor recently dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Action Democratic Party(ADP) following his failed attempt to secure the ticket of the ruling party to contest for the Governorship race in 2019.

However, the Speaker while speaking with journalists recently explained that he had nothing  against his former political boss, (Alao Akala), but was of the conviction that he was politically matured to decide what he wants.

Hear him ‘I remain in APC. I won’t defect from APC to other political parties. Former Governor Alao Akala remains my oga, but now our political affiliations are different so I will remain in APC.

“There is time for everything; a time to follow and a time to have your own freedom. There will be a time when a master will free a learner.

Ojo added that by the grace of God, people will see wonders in 2019, noting that in 1999, he wasn’t under anybody before he won the election and became the Deputy Speaker.

“Let us leave everything to God, Politically, 100 per cent of my loyalty are with Governor Abiola Ajimobi. While as a leader in Ogbomoso, I have no friction with former Governor Alao Akala.

The Speaker  who is contesting for the Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South and Oriire federal constituency seat under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), said that if people can check his antecedents, he has always been a progressive since the time he joined politics as far back as 1999.

“I contested on the platform of the Social Democratic Party in 1990 and I won as a councilor, in 1999, I contested under the platform of the Alliance for Democracy to this same House of Assembly and I won. Apart from some years in between, that I joined PDP because of some necessities at home, then. Now, I am back to where I belong,” Ojo said.
