I AM OPERATING SERVANT LEADERSHIP ADMINISTRATION, SAYS OYO GOVERNOR-ELECT
The Governor pointed out that his victory wouldn’t have happened without the help of God and the people of Oyo State, adding that he is fully ready to serve the people and keep their hope alive.
Hear him ‘I will serve the people of Oyo State during my reign as the Governor of this State, the hope am assuring them is a hope of good governance and that of a servant leadership, we are going to work with the people, our government will be open and transparent to the people.”
“My victory is Gods doing, i will serve the people of this State whole heartedly because they are the ones elected me to serve, i want the people to have hope, and together we shall eat the fruits of our labour.”
Penpushing further reports that, in his sermon, the Vice Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University Oyo, Prof Dapo Asaju pointed out that God had already elected and appointed Seyi Makinde before the people of Oyo State elected him, adding that the Governor -Elect should not think that it was his power that makes him to emerge, but it was the power of God.
“Always consult God in whatever you do, and learn from the mistakes of others, you have a mission and the mission is to liberate the people of Oyo State from their suffering, be careful because this is the time government are falling, rule with the fear of God and open yourself to the people, don’t be proud.”
Penpushing also reports that, Asaju noted that Nigeria is a leaderless country where everybody is confused of who to choose as a leader, because all the leaders have failed the people that voted them into power.
“Run a Christian Muslim oriented government, cooperate with the people so that it can be well with you, follow the footstep of those that succeed, not of those that failed, remember that four years is very short, know that all power belongs to God, and God is the only excellency.
The Vice Chancellor, however urged the incoming Governor to extend his hands of fellowship to all the nooks and crannies of Oyo State, saying that thee State goes beyond Ibadan, because those people are to vote for him again when the time comes.
“Make a good impact so that you can have a good reputation, honor the people who elected you and all the people around you, always do what the people want”,Asaju emphasised
Penpushing reports that, dignitraries at the event include the Oyo State Deputy Governor- Elect, Engr Rauf Olaniyan and his wife, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji and his wife, Olori Rasheedat Adetunji, the Olubadan in Council, former Governor of Oyo State, Dr Omololu Olunloyo, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Chairman in Oyo State, Chief Kunmi Mustapha, Bishop Oladapo Ogunsola, Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) Chairman in Oyo State, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Chief Yemi Soladoye, Comrade Titilola Sodo, Senator Kola Balogun, Senator Hosea Agboola, and Oloye Lekan Alabi among others.
