Two die, three injured in obada- oko auto crash

Three persons were on Sunday killed and two other wounded in an auto crash involving two  vehicles with registration numbers AKM489ZY a Volvo  Mini  Truck and a Nissan  Car with no registration number on it, in Obada axis of Abeokuta-Lagos expressway in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State.

Penpushing reports that Route Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Ogun State Command  Florence Okpe confirmed the incident in a statement adding that suspected cause of the crash was route violation on the part of the Truck driver  and collided with the Nissan car.

‘A total of 05 persons were involved and all male adult. 02 persons sustained injury and unfortunately 03 persons were killed. 02 vehicles were involved with registration numbers AKM489ZY a VOLVO MINI TRUCK and a NISSAN CAR with no registration number on it. The suspected cause of the crash was Route violation on the part of the Truck driver and collided with the Nissan car’, she said

Penpushing further reports that, Okpe explained as at the time of filing this report, that the injured victims were taken to General hospital Abeokuta for medical attention while the corpses were deposited at the same hospital morgue

The statement said , the Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar has commiserated with the family of the deceased and cautioned motorists to avoid route violation, stressing that safety should be evert=ybody business

‘The Sector Commander FRSC Ogun Sector Command Commiserated with the family of the crash victims and advised motorists to avoid route violation completely. He added by saying that safety is everybody business especially in this season of high vehicular movement. One should drive cautiously and obey traffic rules and regulations’, Okpe stated.
