Hunters rescue kidnapped retired polytechnic lecturer

Hunters have successfully secured the release of the abducted retired lecturer of Federal Polytechnic, Ofa, Kwara State,  Fasasi Olanigan, and has reunited with his family, after  receiving treatment in the hospital.

Penpushing reports that, the brother of the survivor, Alhaji Abass Olanigan confirmed the rescue by the hunters in Isaga axis, where the kidnapping took place on Wednesday afternoon, adding that after intensive combing of the forest in a combat method, the kidnappers abandoned the victim and fled.

The hunters after the rescue, took Olanigan to the traditional ruler of Isaga, and later taken to the police station, thereafter moved to a private hospital in Abeokuta, for treatment, following injuries sustained from the inhuman treatment the bandits meted on him

Penpushing further reports that, as at the time of filing this report, Olanigan has reunited with his family in rounder area of Abeokuta, located in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state, and was full of praises

The former lecturer, it is recalled , was on Wednesday  seized at gun point by the attackers at about 20m in Isaga-Ibara Orile axis of the road, while travelling in his Toyota car from Abeokuta to Imasai , in Abeokuta North local government area of the state,

Penpushing also reports that Olanigan was not that lucky, as the bandits who emerged from the bush dragged him out of the car and forced him back into the forest,  but  the other occupant managed to escape and  later raised alarm informing the family members of the ugly development.

The bandits, eight hours after the abduction contacted the family of the victim, demanding N25million ransom, to regain freedom, which they could not get following the hot pursuit and chase the hunters mounted on them
