HOW RECKLESS TRUCK DRIVER KILLED 10 COMMERCIAL BUS PASSENGERS A WEEK TO XMAS

 

Penpushing gathered that, the truck with registration number‎ BDG 7I4 XE involved the bus in head on collision,due to the carelessness and overspeeding of the truck driver.

 

The impact of the collision which occured at  Olokuta axis of the road,situated in Odeda local government area of Ogun State claimed the lives of the ten occupants of the bus.

 

The Public Relations Officer of Traffic Compliance and Enlightenment Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi who spoke with Penpushing said‎ the crash was traced to overspeeding and negligence on part of the truck driver.

 

He corroborated the fact that,the truck with registration number BDG 7I4 XE was coming from Ibadan inward Abeokuta while the Toyota litace with registration number EKY I85 XH was going to Ibadan outward Abeokuta.

 

‎The corps spokesman also affirmed that the dead include two females and eight males,adding that,the only injured was the driver of the truck.

 

Akinbiyi said,the dead victims were later taken to the morgue of University College Hospital,UCH,Ibadan by the team of Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC

 

He said,the‎ driver of the truck, who was the only survivor,was conveying  empty beer bottles, and was equally arrested and handed over to the police at Odeda Divisional Police Command,as well as  the two accidented vehicles..
