HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY DECISIONS I TAKE IN OYO STATE – GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE

The Governor pointed out that his administration will serve the people, for them to enjoy the dividends of democracy, noting that while the people will hold him accountable for his decisions, he will also hold the people accountable as a partner to move Oyo State forward.

Penpushing further reports that, Makinde while speaking on the issue of the new minimum wage for the workers said that he belief in true federalism, adding that Oyo State will be the first State in Nigeria to pay above the new minimum wage subject to the income of the State.

Hear him, “Payment of workers will lead to how to expand our dear State and no workers will be witch hunt because our intention is to move quick so that people of Oyo State can move forward. There will be training and retraining of workers, Oyo workers will not only be trained locally, but they will also be trained internationally.”

Penpushing also reports that, earlier in her remark, the Head of Service of Oyo State, Alhaja Amidat Ololade Agboola said that the new administration marks that a new beginning and  role for a purposeful government.

The number one civil servant in the State, noted that that the new government should create a working and enabling environment for workers in the State to be able to discharge their duties effectively,with commitment and loyalty

The Head of Service, however, lamented that shortage of fund and workforce in the State Civil Service has been affecting and crippled the effective performance of the workers which posed a greater danger to the survival of the service.

Penpushing reports that, dignitraries at the event include the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr Rauf Olaniyan, the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Hon. Justice Muktar Abimbola, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assemby, Rt Hon. Joshua Olagunju Ojo, Chief of Staff to the Oyo State , Chief Bisi Ilaka, and Senator Kola Balogun among others.
