Obasanjo leads prayer session at penpushing media corporate headquarters

The former Nigeria’s President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has led a prayer session for the upliftment of Penpushing Media calling on God for continue showering blessings on the globally known media outlet which started operations six years ago,

Penpushing reports that Obasanjo led the prayer session during his visit to the corporate headquarters of the media organization located at Leme axis of Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, and called for thanksgiving to God.

The former President having been conducted round the office and expressed satisfaction on the rapid development of the establishment within short period of its operations, thereafter organized and conducted a prayer session

Penpushing further reports that Obasanjo in his prayers showers blessings on the management, editorial board and staff, adding that with the modest beginning of the media outlet, and feat recorded, God will continue to see that the business grows beyond expectation of all.

The former President, however, took time to address students on internship at Penpushing Media and charged them to show commitment, dedication and loyalty to their journalism chosen profession, and used Penpushing Media as motivational factor for them to grow

Penpushing also reports that the Chairman, Editorial Board of the media outlet, Deaconess Funke Fadugba on behalf of the media team appreciated the fatherly care, love and role of Obasanjo towards the success of the organization.

The Chairman pointed out that personal visit of the former President to the headquarters of Penpushing Media, is no doubt, a good endorsement, which equally raised its profile globally, adding that the organization will remain grateful to him

The founder of the media outlet, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji earlier in his welcome remarks said one of the objectives of Penpushing Media is to transform journalism practice for better, stressing that the team will not desist in fighting fake news

Penpushing reports that he explained that Penpushing Media has been robustly nurtured on the journalistic ideology of adding value to journalism worldwide, by ensuring credible sources of news around the world, recalling that the journey started on July 19, 2016 on a social media platform with 256 members at inception across the globe.

The founder explained that as it progresses, a lecture, which has become a regular project aimed at adding value to the noble profession of journalism, was introduced, stressing that the organization which has become a famous global news dissemination platform, got its certificate of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on June 1, 2017, with the headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital

‘Penpushing is indeed set to correct and tackle the menace of fake news which is almost becoming daily occurrence in the world with its greater negative impact in our clime, particularly owing to myriad of online communication channels’, Kayode-Adedeji said.

‘Similarly, it aims to revive the dwindling fortune of journalism practice and be a credible platform for genuine news to its readers across the globe. In line with our mission, we shall consciously want to err on the side of caution to authenticate news for dissemination on Penpushing platform’, he added.
