Ogun state deputy governor encourage residents to take credit facilities to alleviate poverty

The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele has called on residents to take advantage of the credit facilities to be offered by the Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA) to alleviate poverty and create employment opportunity

Penpushing reports that, Salako-Oyedele gave the advice while speaking at the induction training for board members and key officers of the agency in Abeokuta, adding that the project was aimed to accelerate wealth creation.

The Deputy Governor said the present administration under Governor Dapo Abiodun has continued to ingeniously create and resuscitate existing institutions, such as Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), for the socio-economic advancement of the state.

Penpushing further reports that, she urged the participants to take advantage of the training, stressing that the “Building Our Future Together” mantra of the present administration required maximum engagement of each institutions.

The Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investments, Mrs Kikelomo Longe earlier in her speech expressed the Ministry’s continuous support for the agency in broadening its knowledge-base on micro credit scheme and operation of medium scale enterprises.

Penpushing also reports that, Chairman of the agency, Mr.Abayomi Hunye appreciated the Governor,for his ingenuity in reviving the agency and noted that plans were already in the pipeline to fulfill the agency’s mandate of giving credit, particularly to prospective loan seekers in order to empower them economically and enhance the state’s economic development.

The agency boss disclosed that plans had already been completed to commence issuance of forms to interested loan seekers across the state, urging interested persons to take advantage of the process.
