GREEN NIGERIA PROJECT BERTHS TO KEEP TRACK WITH DEMOCRATIC PROCESS
The organization in its mission statement explained that, against this backdrop, Nigerians especially those at the grassroots must be well equipped with the truth on critical issues and well informed on vital developments in the governance of the country to ensure meaningful contributions and productive participation in the process of restoring Nigeria original green colours and core values.
Penpushing further reports that, the project was conceived by a group of nationally renowned, committed and passionate leaders, who recognise the need to accelerate efforts towards massive downs streaming of the huge economic, agricultural and political benefits available in Nigeria with emphasis on the old and young people dwelling in the grassroots areas across the country.
The statement added that, the concept is to connect and harness the political goodwill available to all Nigerians, with the creative potentials and numerical strength of Nigerians, to produce an economic power and political force that will transform the entire polity of the country, and put citizens on course
Penpushing also reports that the project within a few period of formation, currently has thousands of members across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory(FCT). ‘It has the political component; strictly for faithful and progressive minds, and the developmental component for every old and young person in Nigeria, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, religious believe or bias; everybody can participate or benefit freely, without any discrimination’.
‘Our mission is to reinvent healthy, educated and contented Nigerians; strong, progressive and peoples oriented leaders, with a focus on Human Capital and Agricultural development, Job Creation, Security, Peace, Unity of our Communities and a Strong, Cohesive, Egalitarian and Prosperous Nigeria’, the mission statement said
Penpushing reports that aims and objectives include; to enlighten Nigerians on the need to support government programmes and activities. to initiate programmes that will promote and ensuring democracy with its best practices, to foster unity, Peace, mutual appreciation and interdependence among old and young people at the grassroots, through sustained interactions and cultural exchanges , to embark upon strategic and effective advocacies for political mainstreaming and Empowerment of the people at the grassroots areas across the country and to Mobilize strong grassroots and massive support for aspiring and credible persons to ensure sustainability of our nascent democracy.
