GOVERNOR OBIANO REDEEMS PLEDGE OF N5MILLION TO INFORMANT ON ALLEGED KILLER OF, IGBOKE, ANAMBRA HIGH CHIEF
The Governor equally redeemed the pledge of N1million in respect of the notorious murder suspect Ikechukwu Udensi alias IKANDA who was equally arrested by the Police.
Penpushing reports that, the Commissioner of Police Mustapha Dandaura while presenting the cash reward to the beneficiaries thanked the Governor for fulfilling his promise and restates the Command readiness to sustain its onslaught against Crimes and Criminalities in the State.
However, in a related development the State Police Command in a press statement warned politicians to repaint their branded Campaign vehicles as hoodlums use them to perpetrate crimes in the state and environs.
The release signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed said that information at the disposal of the Command revealed that hoodlums in the State are using branded and unmarked/tinted vehicles with covered plate numbers to perpetrate crimes to avoid being detected by the law enforcement agencies.
“In view of the foregoing, the Commissioner of Police CP Mustapha Dandaura has ordered with immediate effect the arrest and prosecution of persons using unmarked/ tinted and masked vehicles without authorization and further enjoined politicians in the State to repaint their branded campaign vehicles on or before June 1, or the Command will be left with no option than to impound such vehicles since Electioneering campaigns are over’.
Penpushing further reports that, the commissioner also warned that any security personnel found escorting their principal with an unmarked vehicle or those with covered vehicle number plates will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
