The journalist flew to Abuja from Lagos on official assignment to cover the national convention of the ruling party when the incident occurred, while police report had already  been made by the victim, as a measure to address the ugly development.
Penpushing further reports that, as a proactive  measure to prevent any fraud from the pickpockets, Osinade had issued out a statement on social media to caution his family, friends and associates from falling victims of the fraudsters, stressing that any messages from the phone lines should be ignored until he retrieve the lines.
“Fraud Alert!  Please ignore financial requests being solicited through my WhatsApp lines. My phones were stolen yesterday, during the APC National Convention in Abuja. Though I’ve blocked the sim lines immediately, the hoodlums are still accessing WhatsApp through Wifi.  Please ignore their antics, I hope to retrieve the lines immediately the operators resume work tomorrow.
Thanks”,Osinade wrote.
