Governor fayemi tests positive for coronavirus

The Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi has tested positive for coronavirus, and with this development, he joins a growing list of state governors and other high profile Nigerians who have tested positive for the virus .

Penpushing reports that Fayemi made the disclosure on twitter on Wednesday, adding that he is generally okay, and already on self isolation, and equally delegated his Deputy to continue running government

“I took my Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive. I’m generally ok and I’m already self isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team. I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home. JKF,” Fayemi wrote.

Penpushing further reports that, Governor who had earlier tested positive to coronavirus include that  of Kaduna, Oyo, Bauchi and Delta states, while many of them have since recovered from the virus.
