Gospel Faith Mission Church obeys road traffic order, secures independent car park for members

The Gospel Faith Mission International Church (GOFAMINT) in Sokori area of Abeokuta, has complied with the traffic order of providing independent  car park for its members, as against earlier practice of illegally turning the major road into car park during service.

Penpushing reports that, the compliance followed last week report that, members of the church resorted to take over two of the lanes on the busy road, as they park their vehicles each time they have church service, a development found to be causing traffic challenges on the road.

The church authorities after the report swiftly took necessary action, and ordered members to desist from parking indiscriminately on the road, and provided more conducive and independent car parks to avoid flouting the traffic rules.

Penpushing reports that, on a check on Sunday during the church service, it was observed that, the church make use of the government authorized park lane on the road, while voluntary traffic control officials who are members of the church were seen on random check to prevent any disobedience

The church situated opposite the pedestrian bridge in Sokori area of the town was earlier reported of contravening the traffic rules, a crime which attracts sanctions and penalties for offenders.

Penpushing further reports that, the Church Head Pastor Jacob Olasunkanmi Oladeji speaking on the development explained that, the church branch in Abeokuta, as well as across the globe is law abiding.

‘The Gospel Faith Mission Int’L in Abeokuta and in other parts of the country are law abiding and peace lovers in line with mission given to us by God, we preach and teach our members everywhere to obey the authorities ordained by God’, he said

The clergyman added that,  it is also to be noted that, the earlier parking arrangement was only meant for Sunday services which covers just three hours, arguing that the arrangement had never caused traffic obstruction nor hindered the pedestrian bridge in anyway.

‘It is only on Sunday for three hours having our traffic officers on duty till the end of every Sunday service. That notwithstanding the church has taken further steps for more arrangement and precaution’,Oladeji explained
