SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY ACCUSES GOVERNORSHIP CONTENDER OF EMBARKING ON ‘AWOL’

The Chairman who was reacting to defection of Kawonise to Yes Party to pick governorship ticket ahead of 2019 general election, because of his failure to secure the ticket of Social Democratic Party(SDP),said Kawonise left the party without due consultation.

He said, the defection of Kawonise is rRe of going on French leave, emphasizing that, as far as Social Democratic Party(SDP) is concern, Kawonise still remained member of the party.

Penpushing recalled that, Kawonise, a former Commissioner of Information and Strategy in the State, had left Social Democratic Party(SDP), shortly after the party primaries, alleging the leadership of perpetrating fraud and illegality to produced Prince Rotimi Paseda as Governorship Candidate

Meanwhile, the party Chairman, while speaking on emergence of Paseda  said he contested with two other aspirants in the party and polled a total of 11,467 votes through direct primary while the two other aspirants include, Opeyemi Agbaje and Sina Kawonise polled 6,070 and 2,014 votes respectively.
