FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COMMENCES GENUINE EFFORTS TO RESTORE ACTIVITIES IN NIGER DELTA PORTS, SAYS POLICE BOSS

Penpushing reports that, the police boss made this known while speaking with journalists at  the Nigeria Port Authority(NPA), Port Harcourt ,noting that  the major factor which  affected Ports in the Niger-Delta was insecurity which led to the creation of a special Police Zone for Eastern Ports by the Inspector General of Police.

The former Ogun State Commissioner and Zonal Police boss in Lagos and Ogun States, added that in an effort to restore confidence of importers and major stakeholders, a commissioner of Police was also posted to each of the Ports in the Zone with improved security arrangements.

Penpushing further reports that,Ali known as a proactive police officer assured that  the authorities will continue to engage stakeholders on the need for the people to cooperate with the Federal Government to make the ports fully operational.
