Non-Governmental Organisation, 100 Women Lobby Group seeks partnership with Penpushing Media

A Non-Governmental Organization,(NGO) known as  100 Women Lobby Group, on Thursday seeks the partnership of Penpushing Media, stating that the partnership became necessary for the organization, having being convinced about the integrity of the media establishment.

Penpushing reports that the group led by Dr Oluwakemi Oni accompanied by Chief (Mrs) Bolatito Ade-Onojobi and Mrs. Temitope Alfred sought for the partnership during a courtesy call at the headquarters of the Penpushing Media located within the premises of Press Centre, Iwe-Iroyin, Abeokuta

The Non-Governmental Organisation identified Penpushing Media as a unique news organisation which is known internationally, hence the need to assist them in propagating the women inclusion in governance campaign and other relevant women related issues.

Penpushing further reports that Oni emphasised that they sought Penpushing Media partnership based on the organisation’s track records of fairness, justice and equity,calling on the management to team up in campaigning for more women inclusion in governance.

The Group explained that the 35 percent inclusion rate for women in governance has been jettison in the current affairs of the country, saying all they want was for their voice to be heard with the support of Penpushing Media

‘We are in a society where men rule and dominate and we know this fact. We are not for fighting or compete but to ensure people hear us. We believe Penpushing Media will help us tell the Federal government, Governors National Assembly. When you talk of intelligent and uprightness, women have it, we have supporting of leaders, our men, so let women also be involved in governance,” she stated.

Penpushing also reports that Ade-Onojobi, in her own contributions said those in authorities will heard them globally, if Penpushing Media partnered with the group, and expressed optimism that partnering with Penpushing Media is a blessing for the group

‘We are here to partner with you ( Penpushing Media), Penpushing is part for us, we want you to help us. With Penpushing partnering with us, people will listen to us in Nigeria and world. We need to have voice. We want Penpushing to partner with us. We want women to be involve in all things, including decision making process. We believe in Penpushing Media’, she emphasised.

Penpushing reports that Mrs. Temitope Alfred, in her contributions said the group believed that Penpushing Media will give them the platform for their voice to be heard, expressing optimism that the relationship will project the group into global space

‘We believe you can give us that platform for us to be heard. This relationship with Penpushing Media will project us to global space. We also appealed to the board of Penpushing Media to accommodate us in scheme of things towards the coming anniversary.

Penpushing further reports that in his response, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji , who is founder of the media organization said Penpushing Media is known to be gender sensitive, assuring the group of further  supports.

The Founder while buttressing his claim cited number of examples which include a woman, Mrs Funke Fadugba as the Chairman Editorial Board of the media organization, as well as another woman, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi as Chairman Anniversary Planning Committee

“We are gender sensitive organisation, for example out Editorial Board Chairman is a woman and we associates with different bodies too. In all our committees’ compositions, we include women in it. For example Chairman Anniversary Committee Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi is a woman. Nothing we do without considering the role of women”.

Penpushing also reports that Kayode-Adedeji said the integrity of the organization has earned it relevance globally, and pave way for its partnership with notable international organization, United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), and membership of International Press Institute (IPI), Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) and Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) among others

The founder explained that the organization which started operations five years ago and registered   with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) parades numbers of high caliber of personalities across the globe on its platform.

Penpushing reports that he explained that the establishment is also into Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), adding that one of the objectives of Penpushing Media include fight against fake news and spreading falsehood, as well as providing platform for the voiceless
