Segun Showunmi in Ibadan. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Senator Teslim Folarin, Adebayo Adelabu where among dignitaries that graced the 40th day Fidau prayer for former governor of Oyo State, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi. Penpushing reports that the event which place on Thursday at the Oluyole residence of the former governor saw eminent personalities, and in his sermon, Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello noted that Ajimobi was a leader that has taken his subject to where they ought to be, adding that people should always think of death in whatever they are doing on earth. The cleric said Ajimobi was a self renewed fellow and a visionary leader that people should learned from his life, adding that, “we are all living but we shall take our exit one day, we are on earth basically for a purpose, life is a destroyer and also a beautifier. Penpushing further reports that, Bello however called on the children of the deceased to cooperate and uphold the legacy of their father, adding that they should rally around their mother so as to filled the vacuum left behind. The in-law to the deceased Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in his remarks noted that the death of Ajimobi was a great lost not only to neither his family nor the people of Oyo State but to the whole people of Nigeria. “We have been praying for him since his departure and today we offered special prayer for him and we shall continue to pray for him so that Allah can give him Aljana Fidau, and protects his family so that they can upholds the legacies of humanity he left behind’. Penpushing also reports that, a federal lawmaker representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa federal contituency, Hon Segun Odebunmi, said that Ajimobi has left a lot of lesson and legacies, adding that he has learned a lot of lesson and Ajimobi will continue to remain his mentor The 2019 Governorship of All Progressive Congress(APC) in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu said that the party has used 40days to mourned the demise of Ajimobi as a sign of respect for him, adding that there has not being any activities since the death of Ajimobi. Penpushing recalled that, Ajimobi died on 25th of June 2020 at the First Cardiology Center in Lagos after a illness related to corona virus The dignitaries at the event include; Senator Teslim Folarin, former Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo, former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Olalekan Alli, ex finance commissioner, Bimbo Adekanmbi, former Oyo ALGON chairman and Abass Aleshinloye, among others.. |
