FUNNAB RADIO SET TO CELEBRATE FIRST ANNIVERSARY IN COLOURFUL ATMOSPHERE
The Radio boss added that wide acceptance by its throng of listeners, remain a factor which has enhanced the positioning of the radio station on the path of profitability and viability, adding that a distinguished Communication Scholar and former Dean, College of Communications and Social Sciences at the Lagos State University, Ojo, Prof Lai Oso will deliver the anniversary lecture, with topic, ’Wanted for Nigeria’s Greatness: ‘Broadcasting with a Developmental Focus”
Penpushing further reports that, the Coordinator disclosed that the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture, Prof Felix Kolawole Salako and other principal functionaries of the University are to attend the ceremony.
The Coordinator and a seasoned journalist said plans were already afoot to make the anniversary event a colourful one for the University, adding that the ceremony would afford die-hard listeners and fans of the station to come together under one umbrella to interface with the several On-Air Personalities of the station at the stakeholder forum to offer useful suggestions on how the station can continue to maintain its leadership and visibility in the broadcast industry.
Penpushing also reports that, Arowojolu expressed appreciation to the University Management for its support and for reposing confidence in the capacity of FUNAAB Radio to foster social integration amongst the diverse stakeholders of the University.
The station which prides itself as The Sound of Abundance flagged off terrestrial transmission, via its assigned frequency, 89.5FM, on March 26 last year after an initial 10-year period of waiting, occasioned by regulatory hurdles.
