Fraud employment uncovered in Nasarawa state
Fraud employment of teachers have been uncovered at the Nasarawa State Teachers Service Commission resulting in the suspension of the chairman of the commission and board members
Penpushing reports that the management of the Teachers Service Commission hired over 1,000 teachers without the proper approval of the Governor, while it is recalled that the Governor had previously directed that only duly recruited teachers should receive their full entitlements.
The Governor’s Assistant on Socia Media Godwin Rimi confirmed the development in a statement, explaining that the suspension was prompted by public outcry over allegations of non-payment of salaries.
Penpushing further reports that the statement stated that during a meeting at the Government House, the management of the Teachers Service Commission admitted to having hired over 1,000 teachers without approval.
The statement disclosed that Governor, Abdullahi Sule has also set up a committee to investigate the illegal recruitment, stressing that the move was aimed to address the concerns of the affected teachers and ensure transparency in the recruitment process.
