Four persons die in multiple crash along Lagos-Ibadan expressway
A multiple accident which occurred at Kara bridge axis along Lagos-Ibadan expressway involving T1079L Isuzu Mini Truck, a Toyota Camry with registration number EPE200GK a Honda Accord and a BUA trailer has claimed four persons
Penpushng reports that Chief Route Commander Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command Florence Okpe who confirmed the crash explained that as at the time of filing this report number of people involved was yet to be ascertained
‘Number of people involved not yet ascertained but 01 person was injured (male adult) while 04 persons were recorded death from the multiple crash (01 male adult and 03 female adult) The injured victim was taken to ZoneCare Hospital, Magboro’ Okpe added
Penpushing further reports that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Public Education Officer said the suspected cause of the crash was brake failure which led to loss of control and the vehicle rammed into a car from behind while on motion.
The statement disclosed that and out of the 4 death bodies, one was deposited at Real Divine Hospital morgue Ibafo while the other 3 were taken away by the family, adding that the Sector Commander Akinwumi Fasakin symphatized with the family of the crash victims.
Penpushing also reports that the Public Education Officer in the statement said the sector commander cautioned motorists to shun speed and pay more attention on vehicle routine check to correct some defects.
