Four Ogun State indigenes join battle to secure all progressives congress presidential ticket
Four Ogun state indigenes have shown interest under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) to contest for the ticket of the party as it’s flagbearer for the Presidential race ahead of the 2023 election.
Penpushing reports that, as at the time of filing this report the aspirants from Ogun State include the serving Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer and Founder of Latter Rain Assembly, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who was former Governor of Ogun State, and lately Dimeji Bankole, former Speaker House of Representatives, who is also rumoured to be nursing same ambition.
The trio of Osinbajo, Bakare and Amosun have officially declared their interest, inspite of huge amount of N100million which the party announced as a presequite to obtain nomination form, while Bankole on his part was yet to make a public announcement on this, as being rumoured.
Penpushing also reports that,in a related development, other aspirants to fight for the ticket of the ruling party,as at the time of this report include; Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu,Rotimi Amaechi (Minister of Transportation), Chris Ngige (Minister of Labour and Employment), Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and their counterpart in Cross River State
