Former Ogun State Governor Segun Osoba visits Penpushing Media corporate headquarters

Former Governor of Ogun State and veteran journalist, Chief Olusegun Osoba on Thursday visited the corporate headquarters of Penpushing Media located at Leme axis of Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Penpushing reports that Osoba in white attire arrived the office complex at about 4.20pm and was ushered into the main office by the editorial board and management team led by Deaconess Olufunke Fadugba.

The other team members to welcome Osoba who is also a frontline member of the Penpushing platform include Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji (Founder), Mr Eddy Aina, Sina Adefolahan and Bimbo Alagbe, as well as technical crew of the media outlet.

Penpushing further reports that the renowned veteran journalist was conducted round the office premises which include the newsroom, reception, administrative department and other sections located within the complex.

The former Governor while speaking expressed satisfaction on the growth of the organization within the last 6 years of its establishment, adding that Penpushing Media has remained relevance in journalism practice across the globe.

‘We thank God for His blessings and grace on Penpushing Media. May He continue to shine His abundant progress in your everyday activities and in perpetuity. Amen’, Osoba wrote in the Penpushing Media visitor’s book.

Penpushing also reports that Osoba emphasized that he is comfortable with the professionalism of Penpushing Media, adding that he is optimistic that the organization will always make the elders and aged journalists proud even after they transit at their ripe ages

‘As myself and my friend and colleague Sam Amuka use to discuss, we are convinced that Penpushing Media is forthright, and one of the notable dependable media organizations which will make us proud even after we left’, he emphasized

Penpushing reports that the former Governor encouraged the team to continue the good work, known with the organization, stressing that without mincing words Penpushing Media has come to stay, having been adding values to the profession

The founder of the media outlet, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji earlier said one of the objectives of Penpushing Media is to transform journalism practice for better, stressing that the team will not desist in fighting fake news

Penpushing further that he explained that Penpushing Media has been robustly nurtured on the journalistic ideology of adding value to journalism worldwide, by ensuring credible sources of news around the world, recalling that the journey started on July 19, 2016 on a social media platform with 256 members at inception across the globe.

The founder explained that as it progresses, a lecture, which has become a regular project aimed at adding value to the noble profession of journalism, was introduced, stressing that the organization which has become a famous global news dissemination platform, got its certificate of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on June 1, 2017, with the headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital

‘Penpushing is indeed set to correct and tackle the menace of fake news which is almost becoming daily occurrence in the world with its greater negative impact in our clime, particularly owing to myriad of online communication channels’, Kayode-Adedeji said.

‘Similarly, it aims to revive the dwindling fortune of journalism practice and be a credible platform for genuine news to its readers across the globe. In line with our mission, we shall consciously want to err on the side of caution to authenticate news for dissemination on Penpushing platform’, he added.

Penpushing also reports that the Chairman Editorial Board, Deaconess Olufunke Fadugba in her remarks on behalf of the management and board thanked Osoba for the honour to have visited the corporate headquarters of the organization.

The Chairman added that the visit will serve and remain a reference point in the history of the media outlet, adding that the coming of the former Governor to the corporate office of Penpushing Media added values, and equally raise its profile.
