Former Executive Secretary of Nigerian Press Council, Francis Nwosu is dead
The former Executive Secretary of Nigerian Press Council (NPC) Francis Nwosu has been reported dead at 69, after a brief illness, while the remains will be committed to mother earth on June 27, 2024 in Umuezeoma Ohuhu Umuahia, Abia state.
Penpushing reports that the family in a statement signed by Chinedu Nwosu said the renowned journalist died last month, adding that burial arrangements will kick start with a service of songs scheduled to hold at Embraze Events Centre, Biazhin road beside Bagangizo, Kubwa, Abuja.
‘With total submission to the will of God and immense gratitute for a life well spent, we announce the transition to the glory of our beloved father, husband, brother, son-in-law and grandfather’, the family wrote in a statement.
Penpushing further reports that the statement added that a Christian wake keep has been scheduled to take place on June 27, 2024 at private residence of the deceased located in Uhuala Oriendu, Ohuhu Umuahia of Abia state.
The family said the body will leave city gate mortuary on same day to his maternal home in Umuda Insingwu by 8.30am for a funeral service scheduled to hold at St Mathias Anglican Church Uhala/Umuezeoma Ohuhu Umuahia, Abia state.
Penpushing also reports that the family in the statement of burial disclosed that after the funeral service at the church, the remains of Nwosu will be committed to mother earth, for a final and permanent exit from the world.
