22-year-old suspect arrested for stealing burglar proof

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, has apprehended a suspected thief during a routine patrol along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, for stealing an iron burglar proof.

Penpushing reports that the Commander of the Corps, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, made this known in a statement and gave identity of the suspect as Oladeji Abiodun adding that he was arrested by team of operatives from Coker-Ibogun Area Command

The agency known as So-Safe Corps in the statement made available by Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander of Corps, Adegunwa Adegbuyi stated that the suspect is an indigene Oyo State.

Penpushing further reports that the statement added that the suspect who resides in Owode-Ota, was seen in possession of the burglar proof at Onihale bus stop, opposite T money fueling station at the early hour of the day which calls for suspicion.

The statement explained that during preliminary interrogation, the suspect, confessed to have stolen the item from a building, located at Imise, Owode-Ota, Ogun State.

Penpushing also reports that the agency stated that the arrest was a credence to intelligence report that some crimes are committed in the communities after 5:00am, when it is assumed that security guards would have retired from their night duty.

The statement explained that, this prompted the Commander of the Corps to give a marching order to the Zonal and Area Commanders to embark on intensive early morning patrol of strategic locations along the major highways in the state.

Penpushing reports that Ganzallo applauded the support given to the Corps’ Intelligence and investigation team and further emphasized the much-required effective collaboration of the community and the security agencies in combating crimes and instilling sanity and safety across the state.

The Commander stated that the suspect and exhibit has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Sango Division for further investigation and possible prosecution.
