NIGERIAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH MAURITIUS CHAMBERS

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on Friday is designed to promote closer collaboration between the two Chambers and to promote private sector business services between members of the two Chambers.

Penpushing further reports that, the agreement will also cover cooperation in the area of investment in Textile and Tourism, Fisheries Development and Financial Services, while another major focus of the memorandum is sharing of experience in the area of harnessing opportunities under  the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act an area in  which Mauritius is known to have excelled by exporting textile and other goods to the US market.

The delegation from the Mauritius Chambers Of Commerce (MCCI) is expected to visit Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) in due course to discuss arrangements for a Trade Exhibition, Business to Business meetings and discussions on Joint Ventures between interested members of the two Chambers.

Penpushing also reports that, President Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has congratulated Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre for good outing at World Chambers Congress in Rio.

The  President expressed satisfaction for the selection  as one of the 5 most outstanding Chambers in the world with Chambers of Commerce  Educational and Capacity Development Programme,adding that  the Centre was among Chambers that competed for  an Award at the World Chambers  Congress which ended on Friday 14th June.

Penpushing reports that, Aliyu commended the the President and staff for their initiatives and commitment to Capacity Development and Training at the BEST CENTRE. The Director of the Centre, Professor Soji Adesugba made the presentation.
