FIND PERMANENT SOLUTION TO KILLINGS, KIDNAPPING IN NIGERIA, BISHOP CHARGES BUHARI
The cleric noted that insecurity in Nigeria has been for so long, stating that it is now getting worse on daily basis, adding that the killings and kidnapping that has rampage the nation is sending a wrong signals to innocent Nigerians.
“Killings and kidnapping of innocent citizens by armed bandit has now become the order of the day in almost every States of the Federation, it is now increasing unabated”, the clergyman pointed out
Penpushing further reports that, Okubadejo emphasised that the Presidency should be proactive and take a authentic steps to stop the killings and kidnapping, noting that it seems President Buhari and the concerned authority are just deceiving Nigerians in combating the crime.
“It just as if the President is partisan in fighting the perpetrators of the crimes, because as the Commander of the Armed Force of Nigeria, his duty is to ensure safety of lives and properties of his citizenry, instead of doing that, they even boasted that killings has reduced during their administration compare to when their predecessor is in government.”
The clergyman reiterated further that Nigerian politicians should maintain religious tolerance so that peace and harmony can reign in the country, adding that politicians should allow the power of love to take place in ensuring peace in the society.
“We plead to the Federal Government to ensure multi religious nature of governing this country, they should remember that there should not be an hindrance to freedom of religion, also, the National and State Assemblies should always passes law that will positively impact on the lives of the populace.”
Penpushing also reports that, while speaking on the theme of the synod, “Understanding The Nature of God”, the Bishop pointed out that lack of understanding of the nature of God is what makes people to feel the absence of God, meanwhile, God has never absent. Let us be aware of God nature, God is someone to fear, but sin is something to be worried about.”
The Bishop, however thanked the out-going Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi for his giant strides, urging the incoming Governor to leverage on the security architecture Ajimobi has put in place in the State.
