FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE PRODUCES 3,226 GRADUATES IN VARIOUS FIELDS
The Federal University Agriculture (FUNNAB), Abeokuta will on Tuesday produced 3,226 graduates, as well as honour the President of the African Development- Bank (ADB), Dr Akinwunmi Adesina and two former Vice Chancellors of the University, Prof. Julius Okojie and Prof. Israel F. Adu
Penpushing reports that, the Vice Chancellor, of the university Prof Felix Kolawole Salako made this known on Monday at a press conference ahead of the 27th convocation disclosing that 112 bagged First Class Degrees while 1,432 bagged Second Class Upper. 329 bagged Third Class, and 18 graduands with ordinary Pass.
The Vice Chancellor explained that the President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina would at the ceremony confer with a Doctor of Science Degree (Honouraris causa),while Prof Okojie and Prof. Adu will be honour with Professor of Emeriti, which is coming as first since establishment of the university
Penpushing further reports that,the Vice Chancellor also spoke on students and staff welfare disclosed that, “a Clinical Psychologist was recently appointed to take care of depression, and guard against suicidal traits in students. We have encouraged intensive counselling even on non- academic matters affecting the psychology of students”
“The President of the African Development- Bank (ADB), Dr Akinwunmi Adesina and two former Vice Chancellors of the University, Prof. Julius Okojie and Prof. Israel F. Adu would be honoured at the ceremony holding at the institution’s Alamala, Abeokuta campus”, he stated
