Federal medical centre Abeokuta staff who tested positive for coronavirus discharged
The management of Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta on Wednesday disclosed that, one of its administrative staffs who contracted coronavirus has been discharged from isolation centre, after the result tested negative
Penpushing reports that, the institution Public Relations Officer, Segun Orisajo made the confirmation in a statement made available to journalists late evening on Wednesday, adding that after testing twice the result returned negative
“The Administrative Staff at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta who tested positive for the coronavirus last week has been discharged from the Ikenne Isolation Centre. After testing twice, the results returned negative a few moments ago”,Orisajo wrote
The hospital spokesman said in a related development, as at this period, the results of the samples of the Nurse, another Staff of the Centre who tested positive for Coronavirus were being awaited, adding that the nurse is in high spirits.
Penpushing further reports that, the discharged administrative staff in a telephone interview, could not hide her joy, saying, “It is true sir, I have just been given a clean bill of health. I thank God, my Medical Director who was calling me every day and monitoring my health progress.
“He made good provisions for me and a co- Staff here. He is a great leader with eyes full of compassion for all staff.’ she emphasised and equally thanked the entire staff of the institution for their prayers
The Medical Director Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu in his reaction described the news as cheery, adding, “this is a cheery news to me. This is answer to our prayers. I am very optimistic that the remaining staff over there will soon be discharged”
