Famous broadcast journalist, Ayinla Egba ventures into real estate business
A famous broadcast journalist Olalekan Shoyinka popularly called Ayinla Egba has ventured into real estate business, a move regarded as having a second address, to complement his journalism career already spread across the globe.
Penpushing reports that Shoyinka in an exclusive interview explained that his decision to venture into the business was as a result of his quest to support people who seek to stop being tenants, by achieving their ultimate ambition of becoming house owners

The Egba indigene ‘On Air Personalities’ in the South West of Nigeria also known as Mr Jawonsi, whose real estate company name is Napoleon Real Estate Solutions Limited, is said to be making waving globally in the estate business said he is out for genuine business transactions.
Penpushing further reports that Shoyinka who is equally a Music and Movie Marketer, added that the company is designed to be customer-centric in its operations and motivated by its core value of clients’ satisfaction, in the provision of a wide variety of residential and commercial properties for the people.
The journalists turned entrepreneur who doubles as the owner of the popular Abule Egba Bar and Lounge (Abule Egba Ninu Egba) located in Oke-Lantoro, Abeokuta, assured that his real estate company is set to introduced surreal innovations.
Penpushing also reports that the Aare Amuludun of Ijemo, Egbaland emphasized that the company is determined in bridging the property ownership gap for Nigerians, particularly those in the low and the middle-class categories.
‘Some Nigerians that are based outside the country have decided never to attempt buying properties, most importantly land in Nigeria anymore. You can’t blame them, because most of them have experienced unpalatable memories when it comes to buying properties’, he noted.
‘They are working so hard in a foreign land just to make ends meet and go back home full-handed but falling into the hands of humans who feel Nigerians in diaspora have more money to waste and they play smart on them. This is one of the gaps his company will bridge in the industry’, Shoyinka said.
Penpushing reports that the entrepreneur disclosed that, presently the company is selling plots of lands at two different locations around Abeokuta, which include Initium Estate located near the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, along Ajebo Road, Mile 8, Abeokuta and Egba Colchester Estate and Ponkuku, Oke-Ata along Sokoto Road, Abeokuta.
The Chief Executive Officer explained that the Initium Estate – Mile 8, is for those seeking parcels of land with prospects and rapid development within the shortest period of time, especially those who wish to invest in students’ hostels and rented accommodation,
Penpushing further reports that he said the Egba Colchester Estate – Ponkuku is for those buying a parcel of land with prospects that will appreciate in five years, especially those looking for lucrative investment in landed properties.
The household name journalist assured that all impediments, issues and/or requirements that are associated with land ownership such as title to land, communal issues, security of tenure and trust issues have completely been eliminated in all their estates.
Penpushing also reports that, he however, appreciated the inspiration given him by one of his senior colleagues in the broadcasting industry, who is a known Realtor of high repute, Prince Ayobami Akanji Adelani, known as ‘Oba Pedepede” the Chief Executive Officer of IAS Unique Homes and Properties, who’s contribution he said geared him up with necessary support and confidence needed to start on the right foot.
‘It was Kaabiesi Oba Pedepede that I will appreciate more after the Almighty, for always showing me the reason I should join the Real Estate industry. He keeps reminding me of the need to use my influence, intellect, integrity and brand name for what will be beneficial to the people’, Shoyinka added.
‘He made me realize the reason people like me is needed in the industry because people are being scammed on a daily basis of their hard-earned monies by buying properties that are not genuine from fake property agents. It was a tough decision for me to take but with Oba Pedepede’s unrelenting calls, his love for me and leadership ability, I had to step in, as another way of contributing my quota to humanity’, he emphasised.
