Family set for 21 years remembrance of Ekefa Olubadan

The family of Gbadamosi Adedeji of Kosedawo’s compound, Agodi, Ibadan ,Oyo State Capital, is set for the 21 years remembrance of late Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Yusuf Adisa Deji who died over two decades ago.
Penpushing reports that the family made this known in a statement by Chief (Mrs) Nike Akerele, a daughter of the deceased made available to journalist on Tuesday, adding that the fidaus prayer for the deceased has been slated for 5th of November, 2021 at his residence in Kosedawo compound, Idi-Oro, Agodi, Ibadan. ,
The late Ekefa Olubadan popularly known as ‘Baba Elepo’ during his life time was born on 3rd of March 1910, and was blessed with children which include (Chief ) Mrs Nike Akerele,a retired Army Colonel, first woman to attain the rank in Oyo State
Penpushing further reports that, Adedeji died on August, 2000 in his Ibadan residence after brief illness, and until his death became the Mogaji of Kosedawo family in early 80’s as well as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland in mid-80’s, before attaining position of Olubadan of Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland..
The deceased as a result of intellectualism with native intelligence which earn him to excel in his various sensitive positions while in the service, was appointed President of Grade C Customary Court of Agodi and Mapo, the position he held for about ten years.
Penpushing also reports that, the late high chief of Ibadan touched lives of many people in and outside Ibadan, and he was described as a man who takes joy in the progress and development of his people and town while alive.
