FAMILY DEBUNKS VIOLENT LIFESTYLE OF KILLED ‘OLATOYE SUGAR’, FEDERAL LAWMAKER

However, the elder brother of the deceased, Hon Olajide Olatoye in a press release which was made available to journalists in reaction to series of allegations said that ‘the attention of Olatoye’s family has been drawn to several negative publications trending on the social media including photographs of the dead  legislator.

Penpushing further reports that, Olatoye said his late brother until his death on the 9th of March 2019 was a philanthropist per excellent and the lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency.

Hear him “We wish to maintain that all negative impression about late Honorable Temitope Olatoye Sugar and the family started with the gruesome and horrific photographs published by the Management of the University College Hospital, UCH Ibadan in collusion with the political enemies of late Honorable Temitope Olatoye Sugar”.

“We also maintained that all these attack on the person of the deceased are described as fake news and work of the mischief makers and political enemies of the late Sugar who planned his killing just to gain cheap political advantage, more particularly about these negative impression is the statement credited to one Mrs. Folake stating that the deceased was once her tenant”.

Penpushing also reports that, Olatoye  emphasised that the family ‘hereby denied the assertion as same is without evidence and any iota of truth and therefore in the realm of fake news’, which he called on the general public to disregard it.

The family spokesperson noted that for the avoidance of doubt, the deceased throughout  his stay at Osiele in Abeokuta, Ogun State before moving to his personal house, lived in two different houses that were owned by landlords and had no tenancy relation whatsoever with the said Folake.

“It has also come to the attention of the family about the defamatory and the maligning reports and publications published by Shahara reporters and other online reporters, and we have instructed our lawyers to commence the necessary procedural legal redress’.

The family however thanked all friends, well wishers and the general public for their support by standing with the family at the moment of grief, saying that the security agencies should ensure that the perpetrators of incident were made to face the wrath of the law.
