FAKE TRADITIONAL RULER UNCOVERED IN OGUN

The  letter , a copy exclusively in custody of Penpushing and signed by the Director of Chieftaincy Affairs in the Ministry, Dolapo Adewunmi with reference number CHM.1/73/33,alleged the Olowu of Owu, Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu, as responsible for the illegal installation of the fake monarch  

‘Information at our disposal reveals that one Bakare Taofeek Biobaku Osunrinde has been illegally installed as Oba of Abalabi by Kabiyesi Olowu of Owu without the approval of the State Government’, the statement said.

The State Government added further that, the action of the monarch was a willful act of fragrant disrespect to constituted authority, as procedure for appointment and installation of traditional rulers are well known to him

‘The action of Kabiyesi , Olowu of Owu appears to be a willful act of fragrant disrespect to constituted authority, as procedure for  appointment and installation of Obas are well known to him’,Adewunmi wrote.

The statement added, ’in this regard, Kabiyesi and other members of the traditional council are hereby enjoined not to accord the illegal Oba any recognition. Furthermore, an appeal is hereby made to our Obas to desist from engaging in acts that are capable of contravening the law’
