Former Nigerian police spokesman, Frank Mba deployed to Ogun state as commissioner

The former Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Frank Mba has been assigned to Ogun State as the new Commissioner of Police to take over from the incumbent, Lanre Bankole who has been deployed to the force headquarters

Penpushing reports that this development was contained in a statement by the Ogun State Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi on Wednesday, adding that Mba has been posted to the state to hence oversee affairs of the command

The statement added that he is an alumnus of University of Lagos (UNILAG), where he obtained his first Degree in Law, he joined the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet officer and was trained at the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil Kano where he graduated as the best cadet in academics.

Penpushing further reports that Mba, a household name within and outside police circle was one time Police Public Relations Officer of Lagos State Police Command, and  was also a three time Force Public Relations Officer, serving under three different Inspectors General of Police.

The statement said he has also served as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), State Criminal Investigation Department Panti Yaba, as well as Area Commander in Ajah Area Command, of Lagos State.

Penpushing also reports that Mba has attended some of the finest law enforcement trainings within and outside Nigeria, notable amongst them are: Countering Violent Extremism and Police Leadership Course at the International Law Enforcement Academy, Roswell, New Mexico, United States of America (USA), Strategic Leadership and Command Course, Police Staff College, Jos, Crisis and Disaster Management Course, Galilee International Management Institute Isreal amongst others.

The profile has it that Mba is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Fellow, Chattered Institute of Local government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN), Fellow, Chattered Examiners of Criminology and Forensic Investigation inc USA and host of others.

Penpushing reports that the police commissioner is a member of the National Institute, having successfully completed the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru-Jos in 2022.

The record has it that he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002, also has Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) from University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom., and until his deployment, was the Commissioner of Police Border Patrol Force, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
