EXCLUSIVE: OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY GOVERNING COUNCIL UPHOLDS DISMISSAL OF OGUN COMMISSIONER -DESIGNATE

The Council also frowned at Osho’s appeal claimed addressing herself as a Professor, querying that, the authority was not aware of her claimed Professorship having being a Senior lecturer of the institution before she was kicked out

Penpushing further reports that, the appeal of the controversial Professor was coming four years after she was said to have been dismissed from the university over allegation of gross misconduct, while she was recently confirmed as the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology by the House of Assembly, but yet to be sworn in by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The controversial Commissioner Designate who once worked at the Department of Home Science and Hospitality Management, College of Agricultural Sciences,( OOU), Yewa campus was   however, absent at the inauguration of the State Cabinet, as news of her purported sacking went viral on the social media.

Penpushing also reports that, following allegation of gross misconduct against her, the case was investigated by the Staff Professional Ethics and Discipline Committee which submitted its report through the Appointment and Promotion Committee.

“In considering the recommendations before it, the council viewed your action as unethical and gross misconduct, which is contrary to university rules and regulations and the conditions stated out in your letter of appointment’ the letter announcing her dismissal reads.

It added, “Council, therefore, in line with earlier recommendations of the Staff Professional Ethics and Discipline Committee and in accordance with extant codes of conduct, approved that you should be dismissed from the service of the university with effect from 8th March, 2016.

“In view of the above, I am to inform you of your dismissal from the service of the university with effect from March 8, 2016. You’re hereby requested to hand over all university properties in your possession to your Head of Department.”, the letter signed by official of the institution emphasised
