ESTABLISHMENT OF IMPACT AFRICA TELEVISION WILL BOOST NIGERIA IMAGE GLOBALLY, SAYS GOVERNOR AJIMOBI

The Governor who boasted that, Oyo State is known for always been the first in everything expressed confidence in the management and staff of the station, and also commended Deacon Owolabi Oladejo, the founder for his initiative and foresight on the project.

IATV is an innovation which will add value to the socio-economic development of Oyo State, Oyo State is undoubtedly the intellectual Capital city of Southwest

 “I hope IATV will also join the like of Channels, TVC and others in moving Nigeria forward through adequate dissemination of information to the populace. This TV station is first of its kind in this town, and am sure both IBR radio Station and Impact Africa Television Station will help our people to contribute to the development of the society by educating , and informing our people positively’

Earlier in his welcome speech, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO Impact Group,  Owolabi Oladejo said  communication is a fundamental and vital process in accessing the stage of the existence, noting that organisation and development of any society is a specific focus to make impact, and despite the proliferation of media, it has not resulted in the much expected diversification and pluralism

“Nigeria has yet to have a media that is devoted mainly to issues of economic development and business, financial and investment and information. The vision of the Metropolitan Broadcasting Services Limited project was caught inside the church in October 2011 which brought about a company to actualise the vision and was thereafter registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission on July, 2012’

He added that Metropolitan Broadcasting Services was established to service the total being of the audience with programme focus on business, entertainment, inspiration, news and general interest of the people

“MBS is a diverse platform providing unparalleled access to productive information and quality entertainment in Nigeria and indeed worldwide. Electronic media and all media should be better than just entertainment, electronic media have a very great potential to impact people lives, electronic media is particularly effective in providing life transforming information to people living in poverty or promote good policies and harmony in the society’.

He noted that November 1st, 2018 which was the 59th years after the first International, Direct Satellite Broadcast (DBS) Television Station in Southwest is being launched in the same city of Ibadan

“IBR reaches Southwest poorest and most fragile with the aim of transforming their lives with credible business related information and provide vital information for the people; we promote overall interest of the people’.

Penpushing reports that, Oladejo reiterated further that Impact Africa Television(IATV) offers a news promises and prospect to be a critical part of the organisation and development of our great nation, Nigeria and indeed continent of Africa .

He stressed that Impact Africa Television Network aim is to bring forth a qualitative change in the dissemination of information in the society and provide the viewers with a quality signal and service at par goal with global standard

“IATV program is design to explore and optimize Africa’s cultural, economic and intellectual potential and stimulate informed debate purposely to elevate and entertain our audience with 24/7 quality programming.

“Our entertainment programmes are aimed at engaging the youths and especially the grassroot audience with quality movies, music and sport, our focus is on the quality of promotion and elevation of our rich tradition and culture while promoting economic and social values which Africans hold dear to their heart.

He however said that the Television Station will parade experienced and tested professionals with very strong appeal to the television viewers, and also offer views, reviews and interviews, advice, information, topics and real life people’s experience and business education

Dignitaries at the event include Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who was represented by the Ibadan Zonal Director of Nigerian Television Authority, Mr. Omolola Olurode, Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi,  Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Deji of Akure, Oba Adesida Afunbiowo, representative of Oni of Ife and Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadegbo represented by Alhaji  Lai Labode.
