Olowu to declare open maiden session of mediation centre

The Olowu of Owu Kingdom in Egbaland, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, will on Saturday declare open the maiden session of Olowu mediation centre situated, at Itapa Olowu, Oke Ago Owu, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

Penpushing reports that a statement by Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinale of explained that the mediation centre is where several civil disputes among the Owu communities and their neighbours would be resolved through established Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme

The statement added that the ceremony is scheduled to hold at 11 am, stressing that the session is the first of its kind in traditional jurisprudence in Nigeria, stating that earlier in 2023, more than a dozen Owu professionals and noble men and women had undergone trainings, through the instrumentality of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC)

‘The Olowu Mediation Centre is where several civil disputes among the owu communities and their neighbours would be resolved through established Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme’, Ogunleye said.

Penpushing further reports that the statement said the ceremony is neutrals for the administration of alternative dispute resolution with a view to formalise the establishment of a royal multi-door dispute resolutions Centre in the Palace.

The monarch who is a Chartered Mediator and Conciliator Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators emphasized that perfect arrangements are already put in place for the maiden edition of the exercise
