Edo State Deputy Governor Shaibu declares interest in 2024 governorship
The Deputy Governor of Edo State Philip Shaibu has formally declared his ambition to run for the 2024 Governorship election in the state under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Penpushing reports that Shaibu who has been at loggerheads with Governor Godwin Obaseki, who appears to prefer another person as his successor, made the declaration in a pre-recorded speech aired on Monday.
The Deputy Governor who is a former labour leader explained that he has been asked to run the race for the Governorship by the people after all consultations he made, adding that the answer was so glaring and clear
