Easter: Oyo State First Lady donates cash, food items to orphanage homes

The Wife of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde has visited orphanage homes and rehabilitation centers across the state to share the love and joy of this Ester season, and equally donated gifts to the habitants.
Penpushing reports that the donations include: cash, food items, toiletries, and among others while the beneficiaries include: Juvenile Correctional Institution, Child Care Unit Ijokodo, Ibadan, State owned Nigerian Training School for the Blinds, Ogbomoso, City of Refugee Orphanage Home, Ogbomosho, Nazareth Home For The Privilege, Jesus Children Mission Outreach, Bodija Ibadan, State Owned Rehabilitation Center for the Disable Person, Moniya Ibadan, His Grace Restoration and Rehabilitation Center, Ilora, and Dorcas Adunola Okediji Children Home.
The Governor’s wife while speaking said the gestures will complement the efforts of the state government towards reaching out to the poor and less privileged in the state.noting that its a pleasure to shared the love and joy of the season with the children.
Penpushing further reports that, Makinde pointed out that one of the purpose of the season was to remembered and showed love to the poor and less privileged in the society, and thanked the caregivers at the homes and rehabilitation centers for taking care of the children, urging them to properly managed items donated to them in taking care of the children.
The first lady of the state however thanked the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for supporting her office in making the event to come to reality by impacting positively on people of the state.
Penpushing also reports that the Deputy Director, Ministry of Women Affairs, Mr. Olubukola Akande in his remarks thanked the wife of the governor for her generosity and appreciated contributions of the Oyo State government for the sustenance of the centers,
The Deputy Director of the Ministry described the center as the hope for the hopeless where people who has lost hope are giving hope and rehabilitated.
