CRIMES COMMISSION ARRESTS LANDLORD FOR PROVIDING SHELTER FOR ALLEGED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), has arrested a 33-year-old landlord, Stanley Ejike Awam and 10 of his tenants, who are suspected to be internet fraudsters hibernating in his six-flat bungalow house in Ibadan.

Penpushing reports that, the Head of Media and Publicity of the Commission, Tony Orilade in a statement said the suspects were arrested on Wednesday, adding that the landlord was picked for allegedly providing shelter for the suspected internet fraudsters.

The Anti-graft agency spokesman said  the 10 suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo Boys were picked up at different locations of the Ibadan metropolis following intelligence on their alleged illegal activities.

Penpushing further reports that, the agency gave identities of the 10 suspected internet fraudsters arrested as :  Henry Echefu, Usman Mustapha, Adeleke David, Olafuyi Josiah, Shorefire Ayokunmi, Riliwan Ajao, Abulsalam Abubakar, Lukeman Salam, Adeyemo Muktarh and Bashir Mohammed

The statement added that, Muktarh and Mohammed were picked up at Eleyele and Old Bodija areas of the ancient city, while items recovered from them include three exotic cars, laptops, mobile phones and land documents.

Penpushing also reports that, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC),spokesman said the    suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
