Donald Trump returns again as America’s president, defeats Kamala Harris

Former President of United States of America (USA)Donald Trump has been elected to return to the white house after securing the over 270 Electoral College (EC) votes required to emerge victorious as the country new President.

Penpushing reports that Trump defeated his main challenger Kamala Harris of Democratic Party and apart from winning the presidential election, the Republican Party also took control of the America Senate for the first time in four years and maintained its hold of the House.

This election is the first since 2004 that a Republican presidential candidate will secure more popular votes than a Democratic Party candidate, a reflection of Trump’s solid performance and the sub-par performance of Harris.

Penpushing further reports that Trump in a victory speech promised a golden age for the nation, stressing that his win was a massive victory for democracy and freedom, adding that many people have told him that God spared his life for a reason.

“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate.  I will govern by a simple motto, promises made, promises kept. This is the greatest political movement of all time. We have a country that needs help, and it needs it very badly’, Trump said.

Penpushing also reports that as at the time of filing this report Harris has yet to congratulate Trump nor has she addressed her supporters, however, several world leaders, including Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, have congratulated Trump for his victory.
