Dimeji Bankole to chair 6th editions of Institute of Cooperative Professionals conference

The former Speaker House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole is to chair the 6th edition of the National Conference, Inductions and Awards of the Institute of Cooperative Professionals of Nigeria (ICOPRON).

Penpushing reports that, a statement by the National President of the Cooperative Professionals of Nigeria (ICOPRON), Comrade Olubunmi Fajobi said the conference tagged ‘GATEWAYCOOP2022’ is scheduled to hold Monday, November 7, 2022 in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

The statement added that delegates, from various states of Nigeria are expected to arrive on Sunday 6th November, 2022, adding that the Conference will be rounded off with a Fellows and Awardees gala night on Wednesday 9th November, 2022.

Penpushing further reports that, Fajobi explained that the annual programme will be kick started with an opening ceremony by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who is expected to give an address and declare the conference Open.

‘The Conference themed Cooperative Governance: A Bedrock for Building a Better Nation will feature among others Inductions of new members, elevation of some existing members to the highest category of Fellows of the Institute, Technical and Plenary sessions which will be lead Prof Abiodun  Otunaiya of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye’, Fajobi stated.

Penpushing also reports that, other distinguished personalities expected at the conference are the Senate President and Chairman of the National Assembly, Senate Ahmad Lawan, who is te Grand Patron of the Institute, while Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland Oba Kehinde  Olugbenle,  and HRM Mai Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Suleimane, Mai Bade are the  royal fathers of the day.
